In this major, you’ll develop the programming skills to build software capable of processing large volumes of data and the statistical analysis skills to turn it into valuable insights. Combining the best of computer science and mathematics, this major will take you from multivariable calculus to machine learning. And with data playing an increasingly important role in decision making, you’ll examine the ethical dimensions of how data is used. You’ll be prepared for sought-after technology careers in business, government, health care, scientific research and beyond.
